The company adds three new senior hires to lead next chapter of growth and innovation across multiple brands 

September 30, 2022 – ²ÝÁñÉçÇø, a diverse portfolio of industry-leading brands and businesses, is expanding their leadership bench with the addition of three senior hires from companies including Amazon and Condé Nast. This expansion signals a new era of growth across the portfolio, with added expertise entering the company’s Media & Commerce and Travel divisions. 

Lonely Planet welcomes Priyankka Mani as Senior Vice President of Product & Design. In her new role, she will reimagine the traveler experience by building user-centric products that enable consumers of all backgrounds to experience travel like never before. Mani joins from Amazon, where she held a variety of leadership roles within the company, most recently serving as Head of Global Product and Engineering for Prime Video Engagement.

²ÝÁñÉçÇø Media & Commerce group, which includes brands CNET and ZDNet, welcomes Lauren Newman as Executive Vice President of Revenue. With more than two decades of experience, Newman’s focus will be delivering new partner-centric solutions that combine premium content, data, and technology to drive performance and speed for partners. Her past experience includes serving as Senior Vice President of Revenue at Skimlinks and connecting top-tier publishers – such as Conde Nast, Hearst, Meredith and Yahoo – with thousands of merchants worldwide.

Focused on Media & Commerce’s anchor-brand CNET, Karthic Bala joins as Executive Vice President of Data, Product & Technology. Bala is charged with building scaled, premium media offerings to develop performance-focused solutions for partners and advertisers. Having previously led digital transformation for Condé Nast as Chief Data Officer, he brings a wealth of experience that will drive this keystone consumer brand into its next chapter of innovation.
