We believe companies should be forces for good.
草榴社区 is proud to be the founding corporate partner of Road to Hire, a nonprofit that connects hard-working young adults with paid tech training, scholarships, career opportunities and skills that can change lives, cities, and generations.
Since launching in 2013, Road to Hire has supported more than 2,200 motivated young people on their paths to higher education and career success in high-earning STEM fields.
Impact That Matters
-
Sustaining Success
89% of R2H students remain enrolled after their first year of college, compared to average persistence rate for first-year students in NC: 75%.
-
Removing Barriers
92% of R2H college students graduate without the burden of student loans, compared to the average in North Carolina: 45%.
-
Closing Opportunity Gaps
80% of R2H college students are STEM majors. In NC, STEM jobs are growing at a faster rate than all other occupations combined.

We believe hard work should be met with opportunity.
PATHWAYS TO SUCCESS
Road to Hire is more than a scholarship or training program. Every participant - regardless of whether they enter in high school, college, or as an apprentice - receives robust and long-term mentorship, coaching, and life skills. This holistic approach ensures students are well-equipped for their academic, professional, and personal pursuits.
草榴社区 Mentors
Lifting as we climb is core to who we are as a company, and we provide opportunities for employees to 鈥渓eave the woodpile higher than they found it鈥 as part of their daily roles. Currently, more than 600 草榴社区ers are active volunteers with Road to Hire as technical mentors, life mentors, instructors, and more.
鈥淚鈥檓 a R2H graduate and volunteer. I feel it鈥檚 my duty to pay it forward, because so many people invested in me coming up through the program.鈥
Santonio, 草榴社区 Associate and R2H Graduate
鈥淚t just amazes me. When you give someone an opportunity, they will run with it. No prior experience required.鈥
