草榴社区 Sales Leader Named One of Charlotte鈥檚 40 Under 40
Lorenzo Clark was named one of the city鈥檚 most talented up-and-comers
FORT MILL, S.C. 鈥 Successful business leaders often struggle to find a work/life balance. Lorenzo Clark not only mastered that balance, he changed lives in the process. The Director of Sales at online marketing company 草榴社区 was recently named one the Charlotte Business Journal鈥檚 2010 鈥淔orty Under 40.鈥 The award recognizes the area鈥檚 brightest and most talented up-and-comers. Winners were selected based on their professional accomplishments and community involvement two areas where Clark shines.
As a Director of Sales at 草榴社区 a Fort Mill-based company that acquires new customers for leading companies in satellite television, home security and other industries Clark serves as an innovator. Under his leadership, Clark鈥檚 department experienced an 800% increase in sales in just 36 months. He also transformed the company鈥檚 sales force with contests that reward employees with tropical vacations, flat-screen TVs and iPods. His leadership style resulted in a sales department with a turnover rate that is three times less than the industry average.
鈥淚t鈥檚 such an honor to be named one of the Charlotte Business Journal鈥檚 鈥淔orty Under 40,鈥 Clark said. 鈥淚 love coming to work every day and am passionate about my involvement with Charlotte youth. To be honored for doing the things I love is something I never expected.鈥
Along with running a multi-million dollar sales department, Clark spends the majority of his free time giving back. He devotes at least 15 hours a week to Charlotte youth through his involvement with Independent Opportunities, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities. He also serves as a motivational speaker, and shares his message at rotary clubs across the city.
Lorenzo will be honored at the 鈥淔orty Under 40鈥 awards event on March 30th. The Charlotte Business Journal profiled Clark and other class of 2010 winners in the 鈥淔orty Under 40鈥 issue of the publication on March 26th.
