LISTEN ANYWHERE YOU GET PODCASTS:

Over the course of this podcast, we鈥檝e been lucky to learn from experts in longevity, sleep, health, and happiness.
Here are just a few top takeaways from these guests.
Dr. Peter Attia - Longevity Expert
Our culture pushes us too hard to achieve, when in reality our bodies need more sleep. Re-learning how to love sleep is something that as we age, we should all commit to.
When it comes to exercise, we should push ourselves harder. As we age, we accept the fact we don鈥檛 have the energy we used to have, and let the 鈥渙ld man鈥 or 鈥渙ld woman鈥 in too early.
Nutrition is all about balance. It can be a tremendous source of joy, but it鈥檚 also core to longevity. Nutrition is a very personal journey we should all be aware and committed to.

Dr. Matthew Walker - Sleep Expert
The power of asking new questions. I went on a sleep journey 4 years ago and today I know much more than I knew then. It makes me wonder what is next. Is it breathing? Is it food? Is it my relationship with exercise? I am super curious and want to continue to go on this journey of knowledge.
We truly are what we measure. I am a lot more conscious about what affects my sleep today and even if we are 70% accurate, that data bank someday may be the key to longevity.
We can do a lot not only to live longer but to enjoy our lives much later in life. That said, I don't want to be the healthiest guy in the cemetery. It is in that moderation and balance that we all must find the harmony of our choices.

Marshall Rauch - 100 Years Young
Live with gratitude. There is no chance for an unhappy life if you live with gratefulness, and Marshall exemplifies this the best. Not making the Duke basketball team in the 1940s and having to go to war 鈥 no matter what, Marshall lives with a sense of gratitude that has been critical for him living a long and happy life. We should all learn from that.
Create your own luck, and don鈥檛 take yourself too seriously. If you can laugh at yourself, you will always have a reason to smile. Marshall took a phone call from a stranger, which ultimately led him to build a massive business. How many times do we not take a chance because we鈥檙e afraid of the outcome?
Use fear as fuel, and don鈥檛 be afraid to experiment. It is human to fear failure; it鈥檚 the most common motivator. Even those who have sustained greatness suffer from self-doubt. But peak performers are those who can harness their fear 鈥 and failures- to become the best. The worst thing you can say is 鈥淚 wish I鈥檇 tried that.鈥

Neil Pasricha - Positivity Expert
With great success comes great responsibility. Larry understands that he鈥檚 a role model, and he uses humility to teach us all what it truly means to be successful.
The true greats don鈥檛 ever hear criticism. If it comes from the outside, they ignore it, and if it comes from the inside they listen to it as coaching. They understand what they鈥檙e good at, and what they need to improve. Even at 36, he鈥檚 looking to get better at everything in life.
Competition is really not an option. You鈥檙e either the one going after your competitor, or they鈥檙e coming after you. Why not lean into that? Be the one to set the tone of the fight.
